Fixed Rate Certificates of Deposit
Fixed rate certificates are a safe, secure method for obtaining a good return
on your investments. Your Credit Union offers a wide variety of CD terms at
competitive rates.
Although the rates on these certificates can change
each week, the rate in effect when you open the CD is guaranteed for the full
term of the CD.
The minimum deposit for all CDs is $1,000. At your Credit Union, certificates are automatically renewable and your interest earned can be added back to the CD or credited to your account. Plus, members can take advantage of a special CD rate bonus based on their participation as part of the Member Rewards program. If you are a Credit Union member, you may open a CD account by E-mail request today.
Variable Rate Certificates of Deposit
Currently your Credit Union offers two special Variable Rate CD terms of 36
and 60 months at competitive rates. When you invest
in these Variable Rate CDs, you have nothing to lose and even more to gain.
After the issue date, the CD rate may adjust twice during the term. The Variable
Rate CD term is divided into three equal periods and its rate adjusts on the
anniversary date of each subsequent period. (Rate will adjust to current rate
for like fixed rate certificate term less a margin.) Rate may increase or decrease
however the rate will never be lower than the rate earned on the date you opened
the CD.
Youth Groups CDs
All members of the Credit Union's youth groups - Junior
Account Program, Financial Youth Group
and Young Adult Financial Group - are
eligible to open a CD with a minimum balance of $500. All youth groups CDs have
the same terms and features as our CDs described above.
All accounts are insured up to $100,000.00 by the NCUA - National Credit Union Administration - a U.S. Government Agency. All IRA accounts are insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA.
